Jan 3 -- Saturday

Yup. It's Saturday. It's a day where I should be working hard to get stuff done! Right? Right. So... I've set out to do a few things today. And... most of them have fallen through.

1) I've started to work on Star Trek: Lost Frontier for Darker Projects. I normally don't do Lost Frontier, but I am. Anyhoo... I'm working on it. I've got one scene done, I think and I'm working on the other scene, but I'm not sure who is on the communicator and who isn't, so it's hard to figure that one out. I'm going to have to talk to Eric about that.

2) I went to the golf course with Matt this afternoon and the only way that I have honest fun is if I go ahead and drink some. Well, needless to say, I'm a little toasted at the moment even as I write this. AND... I'm thinking about going out to eat. There are only three of us this evening (since the boys have decided to spend the night over at a friend's house) and I think that it would be rather inexpensive if we just went out and manga manga manga ... ya know?

3) Most of the afternoon was spent on the golf course so here at 6:00 in the evening, I'm ready to eat and just chill now... but I will be working on something for the night. I just don't know what yet.

More later.

Jan 2.3 -- Friday

Ok. Success on a few things!

The last was what I had left to do for my plan today:

1) Working on ACT 2 of JatP - and get it on the server for Jerry. -- Check!

2) Work on my Star Trek episode for Darker Projects. Try to get through at least a scene or two.

3) Laundry (yuck... but must be done) -- HALF Check! I was able to get it started and got one load in the washing machine and the other in the dryer. So... there's half. Now, getting it folded or hung up or in a drawer will have to wait until tomorrow.

The only thing that I wasn't able to work on today from my list of things to do was Star Trek. Snuggers.

Gwendolyn got online tonight long enough to tell me that she was in a lot of pain and said that she was going to go to the hospital. Rick unfortunately wasn't home, but she had someone coming over to the house to get her to take her to the hospital - thankfully. I called her up and let her know that she needed to just leave a small note for Rick so that he'll know where she is because she couldn't remember the cell number at the moment. That's ok. Leave a note. She was trying to joke with me about getting lines in, but I told her not to worry about that and I told her that I loved her and she was going to get better. She's stubborn enough to get better, so she better - but I'm doing the only thing that I can do for her. Is pray. Eleiece, Brian and I have prayed.

Since I have her number, I'll be getting some updates on how she's doing. I'll post them here and let others know how she's doing as well.

Jan 2.2 Friday

Let's look at that to do list again.

Now for the plan for the day:
0) Fix what I can on ACT 1 of JatP - save for the sfx from Chris -- check
1) Working on ACT 2 of JatP - and get it on the server for Jerry.
2) Go get a haircut at 1:30 -- It's getting a bit too long. I'm going to have them re-layer, but in longer layers so that I can keep letting it grow out. It needs to be shaped up... something because all that it's doing is going flat even after I curl it. -- check
3) Record my lines for Chris for the episode of Perry Mason that I get to be in! YAY! It'll be on Colonial Radio Theatre at some point, but I get to be IN it... not produce it. -- check
4) Do my redos for TamLynn Case 3. -- check
5) Work on my Star Trek episode for Darker Projects. Try to get through at least a scene or two.
6) Laundry (yuck... but must be done)
7) Exercise some -- check

Problems with plan:
1) My haircut didn't go well. My hair-stylist cut it too darn short. I'm not happy with the hair or the salon. I will NOT be going back to that salon again. When you ask for a trim and a reshape - and you walk out with a totally different haircut than what you had... uhm... that's not right. So... they just lost my business. This mishap totally ruined my train of accomplishment with JatP today because I was frustrated with this.
2) I've been working on ACT 2 as much as I can (even when I didn't want to). I'm already on the last scene and it's going okay - I'll have to see if I can push through the last little bit to get it done.
3) Laundry will probably have to wait until tomorrow. The kids needed to get theirs done as soooo the washing machine has been going for awhile today, but not constant. You know how the kids are.
4) Matt wanted to take down the tree and the lights and put them all away. We got that taken care of and then had to straighten up the living room because of all the needles. Needless to say, that took some time to get done.

So... I have a few more hours this evening to try to get through a few things to see if I can finish off my plan for the day. Just wanted to update this and see how on track I was.

So far so good, I guess. :)

Jan 2 - Friday

Okay, so... after an okay night of sleep, I went ahead and came downstairs and checked my email. YAY! I only had a few things to fix on my mix with Jerry and the Pirates! One of the things that I need to fix is that I need a new Flashback sound. So, it's sensei to the rescue! I've already e-mailed him.

Now for the plan for the day:
0) Fix what I can on ACT 1 of JatP - save for the sfx from Chris - check
1) Working on ACT 2 of JatP - and get it on the server for Jerry.
2) Go get a haircut at 1:30 -- It's getting a bit too long. I'm going to have them re-layer, but in longer layers so that I can keep letting it grow out. It needs to be shaped up... something because all that it's doing is going flat even after I curl it.
3) Record my lines for Chris for the episode of Perry Mason that I get to be in! YAY! It'll be on Colonial Radio Theatre at some point, but I get to be IN it... not produce it.
4) Do my redos for TamLynn Case 3.
5) Work on my Star Trek episode for Darker Projects. Try to get through at least a scene or two.
6) Laundry (yuck... but must be done)
7) Exercise some

I'm not sure how much of this I'll get done, but you know, it's at least a plan and that's better than not having a plan at all. Right? Right. So... here's to seeing how much of this I can get done.

Jan 1.3 - Thursday

A long but productive day. Yay! If this is how the rest of the year will progress, then I'm going to be one busy busy beaver! *smiles*

I have accomplished a great deal of Jerry and the Pirates Ep. 23. I have finished ACT 1 and have loaded it up on the server for Jerry to review. I've already started on ACT 2, and have I think the biggest part of the ACT finished. Two more scenes to go and I should be able to knock them out tomorrow and then have the whole episode up on the server for Jerry to review. At least, the ball is in his court for ACT 1. I'm hoping that I won't have too many notes on this and also that I got rid of the problem that I was having on the previous episodes with a hiss on the vocals. I'm still not sure exactly what was causing that. Chris said that it was the program itself, but who knows.

I'm hoping to start working on another audio for Darker Projects this week before I have to go back to school on January 5th. I'm hoping that I can just get it all accomplished that I need to.

Well, it's that time to lay me down to sleep and wish the people that I love a good night.

As I've said - a nice, long, productive day and tomorrow looks to be about the same. At least, here's hoping that it will.

Ah... a new year... 2009 is going to be an interesting year, I have a feeling.

Jan 1.2 - Thursday

A small accomplishment at a time, right? One small step at a time to get things done - even when you are ready to throw your computer through the screen!

I was working on the Gypsy Audio Website and I had to take a break on it. Went to the grocery store and got all of the belongings that I needed before I came home and realized that I hadn't tried something. After a little fiddling, I got it all completed. And... tada! It worked!!

YAY! *Happy Dance on Desk*

If you'd like to see the work that I've done on the website for Gypsy Audio, please go to: http://www.gypsyaudio.org

Now, the rest of the evening is dedicated to mixing audio for Colonial Radio Theatre: On The Air. I will do my best after my brief break for supper to get back to the computer and get Episode 23 of Jerry and the Pirates finished. I spent a big part of the day working on it yesterday and I was able to get through all the lines and get at least one good blooper for it.

I honestly can't wait to get back to Moonfleet. I've been dying to get back to it, but I'm also waiting on a file to get from David Ault. So, here's to hoping that his mum can get it to me quickly. He's in India and doesn't have his file with him - so... Yeah.

I'm off to get supper then perchance I'll come back and get this knocked out for Mr. Robbins - and maybe even get something else accomplished tonight as well.

Woot!

Jan 1 - Thursday

After I read a post from a friend, I couldn't help but look back over the year and wonder what I did with mine. I read and read about all the things that had happened over the year with him and thought that I must have been standing still for too long to realize what was happening around me.

From January 1, 2008 to December 31, 2008 = most of it is a blur. Kids growing up around me, being jostled back and forth between work and home and sitting down occasionally to get some audio done and wondering where all the time went - and losing Rune and my great aunt Trudy within the same two week period. Meeting new friends that have made an impact in my life already - and making me smile and giggle.

It's amazing what life throws at you. You have to just meet it and deal with it the best that you can and realize that there is someone there who will never leave no matter what you do... and He's there to hold your hand, pick you up, and hold you through it all until you can get your feet back under you. Thank goodness for Him.

I am going to do my best to set aside a time everyday to just do a small journal of what's going on so that I can have something that I can look back on and remember those times - to see what I've accomplished in my life.... It's sad that since the wreck that I about 8 years ago that my memory has gone to the way side - so if this is what it takes to help me look back on these times and see what's going on, then by all means, I'll do whatever I must do.

Here's to hoping that I can accomplish it.

So... here's to a new beginning of 2009.
